The only things we need to complain about are sins. God knows what’s best for us and our worldly desires often have unforeseen consequences. We need to live the way God wants us to live not the way the rest of the world lives.
We need to watch for danger approaching and plan to avoid it so that we can have happy and productive lives. If we allow jealousy to take root within us it may grow to the point that it drives us to hurt our own loved ones. It may even turn us into an embarrassment to our own family members.
We all have responsibilities in the church. We may not draw recognition from other people for our service but God notices all of our efforts. And as God’s children we need to be strong and confident no matter what tactics our enemies might use to intimidate us. Our behavior must never give anyone an opportunity to speak critically against Him.
We must be careful to be reverent whenever we speak God’s name. We also need to work to maintain our relationship with God or He may turn His ear away from us. We must listen to His word and obey Him if we expect Him to listen to our prayers and bless us.
We can only be successful to the degree that we follow God’s will. We must always obey Him even when an earthly leader commands us to do something that would violate His will. And we need to obey Him even when others threaten to punish us for doing so.
After we get rid of the sins in our lives we must replace them with good things. Otherwise corruption will return to our souls and we will be in a worse condition than we were before. We need to demonstrate wisdom in our lives and we have to avoid acting out of jealousy.
God does not forget our sins until they have been taken care of. Wrong actions are never justified by good intentions. We should fear God not other people. And when we behave sinfully we should be sorrowful over upsetting God not over the consequences.
We don’t just hurt ourselves and other people when we sin; we also hurt God. God always has a plan for when we go astray. And we need to focus on the heart not on external qualities.
We must never forsake our duties for our hobbies. We need to be careful about putting our trust in people because they will sometimes disappoint us. Our enemy is extremely persistent but we should remember that God is much greater than him. We need to strengthen our friends’ faith whenever possible. And we need to realize that things don’t always …
We need to be careful not to damage someone else’s reputation. We must leave vengeance in God’s hands. We have to maintain humble attitudes. We should recognize that God is on His children’s side. We must love our enemies. And we have to be careful how we treat others because we may find ourselves being treated the same way.
